we took a family trip to the east coast and it was quite a good time
lots of seafood, sweet hiking trails in maine, the ocean, and fun vintage shopping in boston and providence!
speaking of which, while we were in providence, we went on a tour of RISD because well, why not?
the whole campus was amazing, but my favortie part was when they showed us the studio for foundation drawing classes.
it was up on the top of one of the buldings and there were windows all around with these huge easels set up and this big stand in the middle where the models would sit.
the guide was like "yeah, in your freshman year you would probably come up here first thing in the morning a few days a week and spend the next seven hours drawing"
and i was like... EEEEE!!
it sounds amazing there.
course, i'm not getting my hopes up cuz it's amazingly expensive and hard to get into and whatnot, but hey, i'm still applying!
anyways, now i'm back, and my days are scheduled up with working as a guard and swim instructor at the YMCA, and working at the mariner theatre a few nights a week.
I always wish i had more time for art, im always so busy with everything else, but this summer im trying to do as much art in my free time as possible.
i know i should probably work on a portfolio if im thinking about trying to get into an art school, so im going to try to work on actual paintings and things instead of just drawing in my sketchbooks all the time!
i got some oils of my own, so im thinking about doing some real portraits with them, probably of my friends.
so hey, if i know you in real life call me up and we should have a photo shoot someday!
ok, i think has definitely been sufficiently long and useless, so ill go now.
PS: as for my DPS obsession, i finally got myself to watch it a few nights ago and it was as wonderful as ever!
*sigh*
lol and at my yoga class, they've started playing this song that sounds exactly like the music during the midsummer night's dream scene, and i about die every time it comes on, it makes me so happy!

How are the dreams coming along? Have you done what we talked about? Remember this is a long process.

"I went into the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life... to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
I love Neil Perry.
